For those looking to find the next life-changing harness racing star, the 2021 APG Brisbane Sale is underway releasing their catalogue.

The opportunities for investors in harness racing right now has never been better than in Queensland.

This is the sale where buyers get additional advantages in securing APG yearlings with massive upside.

Astute buyers will understand the unmatched combination of APG/QBRED yearlings that have the potential to change lives of owners and trainers for the better.

The QBRED Incentive Scheme continues to reward participants who own QBRED-eligible standardbred horses in Queensland.

This is achieved through the distribution of over $3 million in QBRED bonuses and feature race stakes, with prospective breeders and owners able to share in these benefits.

The QBRED Incentive scheme sees the first-win bonus set at $12,000 at any age (regardless of how many interstate wins they may have had), as well as a further $7,500 cash bonus for their first Queensland win in a subsequent season.

This is on top of APG Brisbane’s $350,000 in local prize money.

The 52-lot catalogue (48 pacers & 4 trotters) features youngsters by an impressive line-up of progeny from some of the sport’s most exciting stallions.

The first three stallions we would like to highlight are A Rocknroll Dance, Allamerican Ingot and a new rising star of the sport, Always B Miki.

A Rocknroll Dance, a multiple World Champion and Meadowlands Pace winner - who finished sixth on both the 2YO and 3YO sires’ table for the 2019 /2020 seasons - has six lots entered in the APG Brisbane sale.

Dance was the first horse to record three consecutive sub-1:48 wins, and the first two-year-old ever to record multiple sub-1:50 wins, making him the richest two-year-old of his year.

The U92 stallion has been promoted as being bred in the purple - his dam is a half-sister to the champion sire Western Hanover.

A Rocknroll Dance has done particularly well when matched to the right broodmare sire lines, with all six lots matched to those successful lines, including:

  • Lot 10 – A Rocknroll Dance – Pretentious Lombo – Bettors Delight – Miss Worthy Whitby $215,350
  • Lot 13 – A Rocknroll Dance – Respected – Art Major – No Win No Feed $387,720
  • Lot 34 – A Rocknroll Dance – Clearwater Blue – Artiscape – Lost In Time $718,723

Allamerican Ingot had a record of 1:50.6 and competed with real distinction on the tough US Grand Circuit.

He competed only as a two and three-year-old before retiring to stud, earning $421,915 at two-years-old and $817,020 at three-years-old.

As a two-year-old, he won four of his seven starts highlighted by his end-to-end triumph in the $700,000 Woodrow Wilson at The Meadowlands in 1:51.6; a new race record.

He took his lifetime mark of 1:50.6 winning the $260,000 Messenger Pace.

He also captured the $78,000 Simcoe Stake, a heat of the Little Brown Jug and eliminations of the Art Rooney and James Dancer Memorial as well as recording notable placings in the Breeders Crown.

Allamerican Ingot is a son of the great Western Hanover 1:50.8, a leading sire of two-year-olds, three-year-olds, and all-aged performers.

Western Hanover’s sons have bred on with great success, siring the winners of over $217million in stakes.

On his dam’s side, Allamerican Ingot comes from a fantastic branch of the U6 family which has made a real impact on the American breeding scene.

His dam Incredible Margie has left 11 individual winners, the fastest being Allamerican Inca (a 1:48.4 PB) as well as a brother Allamerican Ingot, who won the Oliver Wendell Holmes and an elimination of the Meadowlands Pace.

By Abercrombie, Incredible Margie is now the second dam of the USA superstar Pure Country; winner of $2,628,213 and is the half-sister to the top racehorse and sire Incredible Finale 1:53.4 ($1,165,508).

Allamerican Ingot has two lots listed below and again, the APG Biddaddaba breeder has also followed the successful pattern of success for this stallion:

  • Lot 22 – Allamerican Ingot – Starofmydream - Dream Away – both on the Adios Line through Abercrombie.  Early reports are that this colt has the presence rarely seen at a yearling sale.
  • Lot 26 – Allamerican Ingot – Belmont Rose - Presidential Ball – both on the Meadow Skipper line through Cam Fella , Wayne The Lefty $697,479.

Always B Miki has the heart of a champion, and he has proven this time and time again; whether it be setting a world record during the Allerage Pace, or in his fierce showdown in the 2016 Breeders Crown to capture his second consecutive title.

His fierce determination has led to his success on the track, even after suffering a potentially career-ending injury – in that three-year-old year, Always B Miki would not be stopped.

He recovered and came back even stronger, with wins in the Breeders Crown, the Haughton Memorial, the Gold Cup, and the Ben Franklin, among many others, landing on the board an impressive 45 times.

His grit and speed are second to none, and he will surely be a force to be reckoned with in the stud barn.

The world champion served a full book of mares ($12,500 in USA for the 2021 season) each of his first years at stud, and now his two-year olds have hit the track in stride with fantastic results!

  • Lot 15 – Always B Miki – Shesgotemgood – Perfect Art
  • Lot 40 – Always B Miki – Gidup Tuscany Gold – Julius Caesar, a colt that’s guaranteed to gain an abundance of interest and coverage.
  • Lot 44 – Always B Miki – Idle Spirit – Grinfromeartoear, a truly striking filly that looks to have something very special about her. She is out of a sister of Bethany, the dam of Lazarus.
