Final Field For The Westral-Mares Classic

This Friday night sees the running of the Group 1 Westral-Mares Classic (2536m) at Gloucester Park.

A stellar field of 12 runners has been assembled for the $125,000 event headlined by Norms Daughter Classic winner Our Alfie Romeo.

After a string of tough barriers, Gotta Go Gabbana has drawn ideally in barrier one and looks to be a key player in the event.

It has been 17 starts since the mare drew the inside barrier.

Norms Daughter Classic placegetters Arma Indie and Dracarys have drawn barriers three and four respectively.

Trainer Michael Brennan will look for his second Group 1 in the space of a week with Miss Sangrial to line up from barrier two.
