TALENTED pacer Goodboy Cowboy is for sale!

Despite moseying on to the winners’ circle at Globe Derby during the weekend, Goodboy Cowboy has been placed on the market according to trainer Ryan Hryhorec.

With the son of Tell All still lightly-assessed, Hryhorec stated “now is the time to move him on”.

Goodboy Cowboy boasts the impressive record of eight wins and six placings from 20 starts.

“He’s done a top job and has built a pretty solid record,” Hryhorec said. “The owners are looking to sell him and now is the time to move him on as he’s still got wins in him.

“You never like to see a handy horse go, and his record speaks for itself, but that’s part of racing.”

Driven by Hryhorec, Goodboy Cowboy settled midfield from his second row draw as Any Suggestions set the pace.

Surged forward along the back straight, the gelding dashed to the lead before cruising to a three-and-a-half metre win from Any Suggestions, with Julius Franco a half-neck away third in 1:59 over 1800 metres.

“It was another good run from him,” Hryhorec said. “He just keeps giving his best and never seems to run a truly bad race.

“For now I will just keep finding the right races for him and take him through the grades until any sale happens.”
