These two stallions have proven themselves in Australia, New Zealand and the US.

American Ideal 1:47.8 US$785,055 is currently fourth on the Australian sires list, but has the highest earnings per starter – well above the leading three Bettors Delight, Art Major and Mach Three (dec). He is also second on the 2yo Sires list and well above every other pacing sire in earnings per starter. He is regarded in the US as a champion’s sire. His progeny include world champions He’s Watching 1:46.8, Heston Blue Chip 1:48 and in Australia Bling It On 1:50.8 $1,591,076, Soho Tribeca 1:53.8 $1,103,374, My Hard Copy 1:51.6 $1,253,637 etc. This season he is also the sire of standouts and Group 1 winners Ideal Alice 1:53.4 $401,249, Rosies Ideal 1:56.7 $133,411, Bletchley Park 1:53.6, Golden Slipper winner Franco Edward 1:54.2, $156,477; American Boy, Ideal For Real, etc, etc

Shadow Play 1:47.8 US$1,559,822 Millionaire racehorse and sire. He is the sire of Shower Play, one of the two leading 3yo fillies in the US this season. In Australasia he is the sire of Group 1 winners Shadow Sax 1:53.1, $485,980, Shadow Runner 1:53.6 $132,800, Play The Boys 1:56.2, $69,266, To Fast to Serious 1:56 $76,490; also Brilliant Strike 1:51 $229,984, Our Triple Play 1:51, Natural Disaster, etc. He has 50 individual 3yo winners this season.

Third to Fifth prize winners receive service fee vouchers - $1000 voucher for third, and $750 vouchers for 4th and 5th prize. The first three prizes are open to all breeders, but 4th and 5th prize are for WASBA members only (pay your membership by 20 Aug. 2018).

To make it winnable, there are only 200 tickets available at $100 each. The prizes are restricted to mares located in WA or SA at the time of service. All prizes are for the 2018/19 breeding season with the voucher prizes to be used on service fees on any stallion available to WA or SA from Alabar or Woodlands.

The raffle closes Monday 20 August, and will be drawn on Friday 24 August 2018.

Woodlands Stud and Alabar Bloodstock have provided excellent support in providing these fantastic stallions for WASBA’s raffle. Funds raised are put back into the industry in the form of stakes, bonuses and incentives, and funds for rehoming.
