An array of picket fences will be on the line when the most exciting young female talent in the land converges on Moonee Valley this Friday night.

It’s the semi finals of the prized Vicbred Super Series where arguably the best crop of two-year-old fillies in recent times will be on display.

At stake for the pacing princesses is a spot in next week’s $100,000 Group 1 final, along with a decided psychological advantage for connections.

Importantly, punters have a host of exposed form on which to formulate their wagering decisions including six pacers shooting for three or more consecutive wins.

In the opening $20,000 qualifier at 6.45pm, highly rated Tasmanian filly Deanna Troy will be out to extend her unbeaten streak to six.

A runaway winner at her mainland debut for caretaker trainer-driver Chris Alford, the daughter of Troublemaker has been rated by some as “the best filly to leave the Apple Isle in the past 20 years”.

Drawn gate two, she’s been installed a $3.50 second elect behind last Friday night’s effortless Moonee Valley winner My Prerogative ($2.50).

Drawn to lead again from the coveted pole, My Prerogative (pictured) will have Australian Pacing Gold champion Lady Waratah ($8) camped on her back throughout from gate eight.

With the first five in each semi to progress, in-form Sydneysider Miss Cosmonaut (five, $6), Bathurst Gold Tiara runner-up Lombo Pow Wow (10, $17) and Blue Confession (six, $21) are the others in line to qualify.

The second semi final at 7.47pm features a cavalcade of young stars including boom Rochester pacer Jadah Rose, who has suffered just one defeat in her nine appearances.

Courtesy of a horror draw outside the front line though, the tough-as-nails filly has been installed a $4 chance in the 2090-metre feature.

Her opponents include New South Wales’s explosive heat winner Protikori (four, $3), Bathurst Gold Tiara placegetter Endeared (two, $4.20) and WA Sales Classic runner-up Lombo Steamline (one, $3.50).
