The friendly team at HQ Insurance are extremely excited to be playing a very important  part in what people believe to be Australia’s greatest value race series, THE ALLWOOD.

The Sale, which will take place at the Magic Millions Sales Complex, Morphettville, SA on Sunday the 11 February, is promising to massively change Harness Racing as we know it in this country.

When we contacted Linda Buckley of HQ Insurance today, she said;

“With all the excitement of South Australia running its first ever Group One race series for 2YO’s The Allwood, we were delighted to be able to help out”.

She went on to say, “ We also want to make sure that the buyers that invest in these elite yearlings have the option to effect insurance policies that give them peace of mind, in the unlikely event that something should  happen to their new investment, by way of  having a very affordable and superior policy, exclusive to the HQ Insurance Group”.

For those of you that are not familiar with HQ Insurance and what they can offer, we can advise that they have the most extensive bloodstock insurance policy available in Australia, under an exclusive arrangement with their Underwriter, Swiss Re International SE, UK Branch.

Swiss Re’s policy includes :

  • All risks of mortality being death by accident|sickness|disease and extended to include theft and transit anywhere within and between Australia and New Zealand, the policy will also respond to euthanasia as a result of a hopeless prognosis.
  • Agreed Value
  • Options for Life Saving Surgery coverage at limits of either $10,000 or $15,000 (no policy excess)
  • Guaranteed Renewal up to age 14

We must focus attention on the point above referring to Guaranteed Renewal as this extension is what makes the HQ product SUPERIOR to their competitors.  What this extension means is that your policy can be renewed (at your request) without a single exclusion and without the requirement of any veterinary paperwork, right through until the age of 14.  All other Broker’s have a requirement to obtain health documentation on each renewal and in the event of a life threatening injury or illness when renewing, other broker’s only have the ability to invoke a 12 month extension clause which will only protect your interests for a further 12 month period for the reported condition, a massive difference to HQ’s Guaranteed renewal clause up to age 14.

In addition to HQ’s standard mortality policy offered to Standardbred owners, HQ also have a policy specific to sportshorses including horses used for uses such as showing, dressage, eventing, pony club, showjumping, cross country events etc.  This policy can also be extended to include optional limits for Public Liability as well as all the standard inclusions as noted above under the Swiss Re policy.

HQ Insurance are located in Sydney and can be contacted on 02 8913 1640 or you may call Linda Buckley directly 0411 307 435.
