IN positive news Alphastud are giving Australian breeders another opportunity to win New South Wales Breeders Challenge riches with the progeny of proven sire Live Or Die.

After recently announcing Live Or Die’s retirement from active stud duties, Nevele R Stud has provided Alphastud, with an opportunity to continue Live Or Die’s success within the Australian breeding market.

Following a successful first year in the frozen semen market, Alphastud is delighted to provide breeders’ access to Live Or Die.

Live Or Die is a perennial favourite with good sire and broodmare sire achievements across individual winners, $50K, $100K and $1M earners.

He has sired 1,640 individual winners for more than $60 million in prizemoney from predominantly Australasian bred mares, 250 have each earned over $50,000.

His standouts have claimed eight Derby victories and 18 Group1 races and they include the pacing millionaires Divisive, Just An Excuse and Bondy.

Top ranked Live Or Die progeny this season include Franco Rayner ($182,825), Expressionist ($175,619) and Livura ($158,218) for a total of 290 individual winners.

In addition, Live Or Die is leaving his mark as a leading broodmare sire with over 570 winners including the triple New Zealand Cup winner Terror To Love ($2,377,125), Our Major Mark ($720,180) and Devil Dodger ($699,168) and current broodmare sire progeny include Rocknroll Magic ($458,363), Salty Robyn ($214,705), American Boy ($198,308) and Shartin ($101,728).
