A FAVOURABLE draw at Globe Derby on Saturday night should aid talented mare Perfectly Written extend her winning streak.

A noted quick beginner, Perfectly Written has drawn to lead throughout from barrier four over 1800 metres, with trainer Lance Holberton confident the daughter of Sportswriter can add to her impressive tally.

Successful at her last three starts, Perfectly Written boasts 13 wins and 11 placings from 40 starts, with her victories including the Group Two Home Grown Classic at Melton.

“She is in great form and will head into the weekend in top condition,” Holberton said. “I’ve been spacing her runs from weekly to fortnightly recently and it seems to agree with her.

“She’s got plenty of gate speed and will be going forward from there.

“The shorter distance will also suit her, although she is getting stronger as she matures and is getter better over more ground.”

Adding to Perfectly Written’s prospects are tough draws for her main dangers.

Futurist will begin from the outside of the front row, while Big Bruce and Arrokeefe are the only runners on the second line.

“It’s a fair field, but the draws have fallen her way,” Holberton said. “It’s going to be a tough task, but she’ll be doing her best.”
