Club Support for Integrity

07 April 2017

The Albion Park Harness Racing Club (the Club) totally supports the strict policing of the rules and the integrity of the industry.

However, the presumption of innocence must be provided to any person until convicted of any charge.

The Club, of course, is disappointed that anyone would engage in any activity detrimental to the best interests of the industry, if proven.

After all, the vast majority of the industry is made up of honest, hardworking people who are dedicated to their horses and the wellbeing of the sport.

Where money and betting are involved in any form of racing or other code of sport, a small minority will always transgress and that then is the role of QRIC to identify and prosecute any offender.

The Club believes integrity is the most important asset the industry has and must be protected and supported at all times.
