Pacer Rocknchaton was claimed at Wagga last week.
TRAINER Shannon Rye and driver Monique Parsons will be out to continue their hot trot at Wagga on Friday night.
The couple have been making regular trips to Wagga from their base at Cowra and the winners have kept flowing.
They landed the quinella with half-brothers Kyalla Luke and Kyalla Stuart at Wagga last Friday night before claiming the final race with Grinorama.
“The last eight trips to Wagga we have had 10 winners and two doubles,” Rye said.
“It’s a bit over three hours to get here and we were in the last race so it’s a long day but worth it when they win.”
Parsons elected to drive the higher-performed Kyalla Luke who swept around the field from back and wide on the turn for an impressive win.
The nine-year-old has raced 122 times for 16 wins and 33 placings.
The son of Life Sign comfortably defeated his younger brother who was having his 99th start for his 22nd placings which has also produced eight wins.
The pair has had a lot of success for their owners with both sons of the well performed Kyalla Mary who won nine of her 61 starts.
Longevity runs in the family with the trio having raced 282 times for 33 wins.
The duo will again race at Wagga’s 11 race program on Friday night, but this time in the first two races meaning an earlier night home.
Despite having won one race from 56 starts, Grinorama was sent out as the second favourite and never let his supporters down winning by ten metres.
It was the second win for the six-year-old who was well suited from barrier one under the conditions of the race.
Driver Reece Maguire closed the gap on Cameron Hart in the Wagga drivers’ premiership winning with Shes All Business and Knightsmile.
Both pacers found the lead with Knightsmile bolting clear for his 15th win from his 104th start.
The former Leeton Breeders Plate winner is trained by Maguire’s grandfather Norm Diebert senior.
Now a seven-year-old, Knightsmile has been ultra-consistent with his gate speed allowing him to find the front and prove too strong in some recent wins.
Shes All Business has been a well-performed mare each season she has raced for owner and trainer Colin Thomas.
The four-year-old has won twice this campaign and never looked in doubt although the runner-up Celtic Music pushed her all the way to the finish.
Shes All Business is one of five winners for her dam Unfinishedbusiness whose best progeny include Business In Motion (20 wins), More Business (19) and Miss Busy Business (eight).
Unfinishedbusiness raced 12 times herself for five wins and has passed on plenty of her ability to her stock.
Meanwhile, Rocknchaton found a new home after her fifth win for trainer David Kennedy.
Rocknchaton was claimed for $3000 by trainer Eric McDermott prior to the race.
Cruising to the front for driver Blake Jones, Rocknchaton won easily and will start again at Wagga on Friday.
Jones shared driving honours with Parsons and Maguire also guiding Four Shotzzz to victory for Steven Duffy.
