THE industry was saddened to hear of the passing of Dubbo horseman Kyle Barnes.
Kyle passed away on Thursday after battling pancreatic cancer for several months, aged 61, having just celebrated his Birthday on March 2.
In his later years, Kyle was involved in harness racing in Dubbo and his last winner as a driver was at the Dubbo track with Artistic Reba in 2013.
Kyle also trained his fair share of winners as well as drive them over the years.
The last winner he trained was the mare Cindy Marie at Newcastle in 2015 which was driven by his daughter Kylie Barnes.
Some other horses Kyle was associated with over the years included Baradini, Maranoa, Bara Prince, Rajah Hanover and Swift Meck to name a few.
Harness Racing NSW extends its deepest sympathies to Kyle’s family and many friends.
Harness Racing NSW (HRNSW) is the controlling body for harness racing in New South Wales with responsibility for commercial and regulatory management of the industry including 33 racing clubs across the State. HRNSW is headed by a Board of Directors and is independent of Government.
