Lennytheshark’s prospects of defending his Inter Dominion title at Gloucester Park on Friday night took another positive step forward this morning.
Lennytheshark has been battling a foot abscess all week, but the seven-year-old appears to be back on track after completing a solid work out at Byford.
“He felt like his old self again and paced really well,” said trainer, David Aiken.
“He worked over two heats and in the second he ran 27.3sec. for the last quarter.”
Lennytheshark later had a swim at Kwinana Beach with stable mate and Inter Dominion favourite, Hectorjayjay, before enjoying a roll in the sand.
A final determination on Lennytheshark’s fitness for the Inter Dominion final will be conducted on Thursday when Racing and Wagering Western Australia’s (RWWA) Judith Medd, conducts a vet inspection.
