Stewards today ordered the withdrawal from the Inter Dominion Series the three runners from the Emma Stewart Stable.

RESTREPO, YANKEE ROCKSTAR and GUARANTEED were all inspected shortly after midday Western Australian time and were all found to have issues which would see them unable to take their place in the second round of heats to be held at Bunbury on Tuesday November 29th.

Stewards were alerted to the issues by a stable representative early Monday morning with the veterinarian inspections taking place at approximately 1pm.

Trainer Emma Stewart contacted Stewards around 1.30 pm to notify the scratching’s and the reasons for the withdrawals. Both GUARANTEED and YANKEE ROCKSTAR were found to have injuries to hind legs and RESTREPO had trained off and lost condition after not coping well with the heat and travel.

All runners were stood down from racing pending Veterinary Certificates of Soundness.
