Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) stewards were this morning advised of the sudden passing of two-year-old filly Artara during trackwork.
Stewards and veterinarians are attending the property of trainer David Aiken to investigate the matter in accordance with the Australian Harness Racing Rules.
“Our thoughts are with the connections of Artara, who was to compete in the Empire Stallions Vicbred Super Series two-year-old fillies’ final on Saturday night,” said HRV CEO John Anderson.
“Our thoughts are also with the Aiken family during this sad time.”
