Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) is looking for a high calibre, enthusiastic individual to join its Integrity team as a casual Regional Assistant Steward – Northern Region. The Northern region will encompass working at tracks like Mildura, Ouyen and Swan Hill.
As a Steward you will play a key role in maintaining the integrity and good reputation of Victorian harness racing. Your responsibilities will include attending race meetings, Inquiries & Appeals etc to ensure that harness racing is conducted fairly in accordance with the Rules and Policies of Harness Racing.
As an experienced professional it is essential that you possess:
- Detailed knowledge of racing
- A working knowledge of horses and race strategies
- An understanding of legal principles and be conversant with the Rules of Harness Racing
Regular travel within the region will be required and you must have a flexible view with regard to working hours. A reliable motor vehicle and current driver’s license is essential.
The successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete background screening checks.
