INQUIRY UPDATES
KEN BELFORD
On Monday, 24 August 2015 Stewards opened an inquiry into the presentation of HOT TAMALE for racing in Race 4 at Redcliffe on 29 July 2015 when a pre race blood sample taken from that mare indicated a TCO2 level in excess of the prescribed threshold.
Evidence was taken from trainer Ken Belford and Dr Bruce Young from the Queensland Government Racing Science Centre.
An adjournment was granted to allow Mr Belford to present further evidence.
This inquiry will be reconvened at a time and date to be fixed.
VICKI RASMUSSEN
On Thursday, 27 August 2015 Stewards opened an inquiry into the presentation of TRIKALA for racing in Race 6 at Albion Park on 23 June 2015 when a post race urine sample taken from that gelding indicated the presence of arsenic above the prescribed threshold.
Evidence was taken from trainer Vicki Rasmussen and veterinary surgeon Dr Peter Hill.
Stewards have adjourned this inquiry to a time and date to be fixed.
