Ants Inhis Pants sold to Ireland

Queensland's world record-breaking skewbald pacer has been sold and is destined to race and stand at stud in Ireland.

Owner Samantha Manzelmann confirmed the sale and destination of the McArdle - Frilly Nickers colt on social media today. "It's official, Ants Inhis Pants has been sold to Ireland," Ms Manzelmann posted on facebook. "Thank-you so much to everyone for the lovely comments (since Saturday night) and we would like to thank (trainer) Darren Hooper's racing team for all the hard work they've put in."

Ants Inhis Pants stocks soared last Friday night when he smashed the world 3yo record mile for a coloured pacer at Albion Park. His time of 1.57.8 for the 1609 metres was almost three seconds faster than the previous best for a 3yo set by Irish pacer Cinderella Man last year and was 2/10ths inside of White Fire's previous best all age time posted a decade ago at Albion Park.

The amount paid for Ants Inhis Pants is undisclosed but its believed it could be a record amount for a coloured pacer.

The breeders and Hooper are now hopeful that Ants Inhis Pant's yet to be named little half brother by Art Major will be the next skewbald star. He is expected to commence racing next season.
