MEDIA RELEASE

The HRSA Board wishes to advise that the Southern Cross Finals race meeting will now be held at Port Pirie on Saturday 1 August.

This follows formal advice received today from the SA Harness Racing Club’s solicitors that HRSA is no longer permitted to conduct race meetings at Globe Derby Park with immediate effect.

The Board is extremely disappointed with the decision made by the SAHRC Committee.
As the controlling body for Harness Racing in South Australia, the unanimous decision taken by the HRSA Board to move the race meeting to Port Pirie was made in the best interests of the harness racing industry.

Arrangements and locations for all future race meetings will be advised in due course.
Specific racing information relating to the Southern Cross Finals race meeting will be advised separately.
