Shes A Runa covered her final 800m in last night’s Empire Stallions Vicbred Super Series 4YO Mares third heat at Shepparton in 55 seconds flat to score an easy win.

The talented mare had done very little work through the first half of the last mile (62.9secs) and was able to produce a strong burst late.

Driven by Nathan Jack, who has already driven four Vicbred Super Series heat winners this year, Shes A Runa found the top easily from barrier two and was never challenged in the run to score by 6m over Milly Perez (Chris Alford).

Trained by Amanda Turnbull, Shes A Runa (Jeremes Jet/Runacullen) is building an impressive record with 17 wins from 28 starts.

Shes A Runa joins Bonny Under Fire and Berisari as heat winners in the 4YO mares' section, each of them guaranteed a start in the series semi-final.
