Lennytheshark wins the Victorian Inter Dominion Heat.

Lennytheshark, Flaming Flutter and Im Corzin Terror are Victoria’s representatives at the Inter Dominion Grand Final on March 1.

The trio won their way through to the big dance at Menangle tonight via the Victorian heat of the Inter Dominion at Melton, Lennytheshark prevailing in a mile rate of 1:55.9 by 3.5m over Flaming Flutter with Im Corzin Terror third over the 2240m trip.

David Aiken trained Lennytheshark started super-skinny odds at $1.20 but never looked like losing, Chris Alford guiding the five-year-old to a comfortable triumph.

The son of Four Starzzz Shark has only had three runs back this time in and is sure to be cherry ripe for the final.

Flaming Flutter and Im Corzin Terror have both been up a while but neither is showing any sign of fatigue.

In fact both are racing at the top of their game.

Flaming Flutter has been consistent all season but tonight’s fast-finishing second was his best run, Greg Sugars driving the pacer for trainer Geoff Webster.

Trainer Amanda Grieve has done a cracking job with Im Corzin Terror, the Ballarat Cup winner working home strongly with Alex Ashwood in the sulky to finish third tonight ahead of Wartime Sweetheart (fourth) and Franco Ledger (fifth).
