HRV regretfully advise that John Glide passed away suddenly on Wednesday 3rd December 2014 at the age of 78.

John was a passionate harness racing participant who had bred, owned, trained and driven in the industry for more than fifty years, with horses such as Gyracus, Stet, Bena Tryax, Meriah and Man Of The Moment.

He was also a stud master for many years standing Black Gamecock, Keystone Pebble and Gyracus among others. He was a gifted horseman that was respected by all in the industry.

John was the much loved husband of Margaret and adored father of Emma, Amy, Anna and Richard.

HRV extends its condolences to his family and friends.

The funeral service for John will be held this Thursday the 11th December at 1pm at Our Lady's Catholic Church in Craigieburn.
