In exciting news for the Central Victorian Harness Racing Clubs, the Harness Racing Training Centre Bendigo has been signed as the new naming rights sponsor for the “Harness Racing Training Centre Bendigo 2015 Central Victorian Pacing And Trotting Championships”.

The new Sponsorship Agreement will see the Harness Racing Training Centre Bendigo providing cash support for the provision of trophies and other benefits for the winning owners, trainers and drivers of both Finals, whilst John and Kay Campbell of Loddon Valley Stud will be providing Stallion Services to the winners of each respective Final. These benefits will be a huge attraction to owners and trainers, as will the $20,000 prizemoney allocated to each Final.

This year’s Finals Heats will be run at Maryborough (Jan. 5th), Boort at Charlton (Jan. 7th) and Wedderburn at Maryborough (Jan. 15th), whilst the Finals will be contested at Charlton on January 22nd.

The Finals should again attract some classy up-and coming stars, if past winners are any guide, with recent winners of the Pacing Series including horses of the calibre of Sapphire Swayze, Restrepo and Bitobliss, and in the Trotting Series The Boss Man, Tendaho and Living Bonus.

Another key aspect to the Sponsorship will see the Harness Racing Training Centre Bendigo sponsoring the “Harness Racing Training Centre Central Victorian Concession Drivers Championship”. Featuring a Concession Drivers race at each of the Maryborough, Boort, Wedderburn and Charlton Central Vic Meetings, the Championship will also include the provision of trophies to the winning trainers and drivers of each race, as well as a trophy going to the concession driver accumulating the most points over the four race Series.

Charlton Club Secretary, Mr. Gary Cooper, says that “Securing this lucrative sponsorship deal is a huge coup for the Central Victorian Clubs as it makes the Series even that more attractive to trainers with some talented horse on the rise. Having the Loddon Valley Stud again on board as a support sponsor with it’s Stallion Services sweetens the pot even more.”

“And having the Central Victorian Concession Drivers Championship running in conjunction with the Central Vic Series will provide a great opportunity to develop and showcase some of our young driving talent” says Mr. John Randles, the Executive Officer of the Harness Racing Training Centre Bendigo. “Securing race drives is not always that easy for some of our younger drivers just starting off in the Industry, and we proud to be able to do our part in fostering their development”.
