Amy Tubbs has been crowned queen of the Mildura Invitation Drivers Championship for the second year running.

The Bacchus Marsh reinswoman, 30, accrued 34 points from the four-race contest at Mildura on Saturday night to finish four clear of runner-up Gavin Lang, with two points back to Lisa Miles in third place.

A strong crowd turned out to watch the trots action, with on-course turnover up on the same meeting last year.

Lang took out the first race of the Championship aboard Radiant Energy, which led all the way at $2.10 to defeat Tubbs aboard Paint The Hammer ($9.60) and Jodi Quinlan behind third placegetter Handy Bonus ($33.50).

Lisa Miles was to the fore in the second race of the series, scoring an all-the-way win aboard Hand Of The King ($2.70). Indigo Smile ($35.50) ran second for Lang, with Gary Hall Jr steering Ya Bowen Delight ($25.30) into third place.

The third race of the series went to Chris Alford aboard Star Brutus, which scored by six metres at $2.60 over Cityscape for local star Shayne Cramp ($32.70), with Elliott Bromac third for Quinlan at $2.40.

Coming into the last race of the Invitation the result was still unknown but Tubbs rose to the challenge with a brilliant drive to deliver Givsirabone the win at $29.60 over $50.10 outsider Did It Alone (Nathan Jack), with Gary Hall Jr aboard Tommys Song back in third.

Cramp finished with three winners for the night to take training honours, while Hryhorec trained a winning double.
