Mr Anderson was dumped with ice cold water not once, not twice, but four times by a cavalcade of Victorian trotting stars tonight at Tabcorp Park Melton.
Chris Alford, Greg Sugars, Gavin Lang and David Aiken were the perpetrators, pouring a bucket of ice cold water over Mr Anderson.
The exercise was part of a worldwide social media movement to raise money and awareness for Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
Mr Anderson has been personally affected by MND, losing his father to the disease while a friend of his – former AFL coach Neale Daniher – also recently announced he was battling the illness.
The Ice Bucket Challenge took place in the parade ring at Melton in front of an enthusiastic Tabcorp Park crowd.
It was also filmed and televised nationally on tonight’s Sky Racing coverage.
The baton has now been handed to HRV's Good Form team, Mr Anderson nominating Blake Redden and Jason Bonnington to complete the Ice Bucket Challenge next.
Mr Anderson encouraged people to visit the MND Australia website (mndaust.asn.au) and consider making a donation to help work towards a world free from MND.
