Beautide winning the 2014 TAB.COM.AU Inter Dominion
HORSES in today’s Tabcorp Len Smith Mile are soon to be released from the Retention Barn at Tabcorp Park Menangle.
The 10 runners settled into the facility well yesterday according to Harness Racing New South Wales chairman of stewards Reid Sanders.
“Everything ran smoothly,” Sanders said.
“We are very happy with how the operation went.”
Trainer-driver James Rattray who prepares the $1.25 favourite for the Group One, Beautide, said the horses seemed a lot more relaxed than during the Inter Dominion Carnival.
“All the horses seem pretty settled,” Rattray said.
“It helped that we only had to take the horses there yesterday (Saturday), so I could work Beau at home beforehand and he’s just been eating and walking around ever since.”
The Len Smith Mile runners were all in the Retention Barn by 11am on Saturday morning.
