Star New South Wales pacer Self Denial will start a resounding favourite in next Thursday night?s $100,000 Sport 927 Vicbred Super Series 3YO Fillies Final at Moonee Valley after drawing the coveted pole last night.

The diminutive Sonia Mahar-trained speedster had little trouble leading throughout from the same barrier earlier in the night to win the quickest of the two Vicbred semis (pictured).

A Breeders Crown and NSW Oaks winner, Self Denial will be out to atone for her shock defeat as favourite in last season?s Vicbred Super Series 2YO Fillies Final when she endured a torrid run from gate seven and finished third.

The Jayne Davies-trained Nemeeshar, runner-up in that Vicbred final to Dalmont Jo, impressed winning the second semi and looks the obvious danger from gate two.

Renowned for her toughness, Nemeeshar showed improved gate speed last night to post her sixth win from her past seven appearances and in the process take her career earnings past $150,000.

The field for the $100,000 Sport 927 Vicbred Super Series 3YO Fillies Final (Group 1), to be run over 2090 metres at Moonee Valley next Thursday night, 20 May, is;
