Harness Racing New South Wales (HRNSW), acting under the provisions of Australian Harness Racing Rule 183, has suspended the license of Trainer/Driver Mr Jackson Painting effective immediately.

This follows advice from the Australian Racing Forensic Laboratory (ARFL) that TCO2, at a level greater than 36 millimoles per litre in plasma, has been detected in a pre race blood sample taken from LIVING LORD NZ prior to it competing in race 1, the HUB Insurance Services Pace (1,609 metres), at TABCORP Park Menangle on Saturday 2 November 2013.

The “B” sample has been sent to an independent laboratory for confirmation.

An inquiry into the TCO2 level returned by LIVING LORD NZ will be held at a time and date to be set.

Harness Racing NSW (HRNSW) is the controlling body for harness racing in New South Wales with responsibility for commercial and regulatory management of the industry including 31 racing clubs across the State.  HRNSW is headed by an industry-appointed Board of Directors and is independent of Government.
