In form reinswoman Lauren Panella will donate all her earnings from Tabcorp Park Menangle this Saturday night to the family of Jockey Simone Montgomerie.

Montgomerie was tragically killed in a race fall in Darwin on Monday which has shocked the sporting world across the globe.

“I just want to help out any way I can, as a horse woman it really hits home “said Panella.

“The tributes that have been flowing for her family have been amazing and it’s great to see so many people providing support. I hope I can win as many races as possible on Saturday night.”

Panella has two outstanding chances with Saucy Legend set to go close in race six and Cold Native has drawn well in race seven. Modern Mistake is a consistent type and will have admirers in the final event.

In addition to Panella’s earnings, Harness Racing NSW will donate a further $1000 to the Montgomerie family.

Harness Racing NSW passes on its sincere condolences to friends and family of Simone Montgomerie.
