Harness Racing NSW today inquired into a report from the Australian Racing Forensic Laboratory (ARFL) that boldenone at a mass concentration greater than 15 micrograms per litre in urine had been detected in a post race urine sample taken from KARLOO KIX after winning Race 9 the KOFM Pace (2,030 metres) at Newcastle on Friday 9 December 2011.
This finding had been confirmed by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Racing Laboratory (HKJC).
Evidence was taken from the Trainer of KARLOO KIX Mr B Lew, Part Owner Mrs R Lew, HRNSW Regulatory Veterinarian Dr M Wainscott and ARFL Science Manager Dr A Crawley.
