Mr Cameron Fitzpatrick and Mr Dean Atkinson

HRNSW have issued the following charges in relation to its current investigation into alleged corrupt and improper conduct by persons associated with the NSW harness industry.

Licensed Trainer/Driver Mr Cameron Fitzpatrick was issued with two (2) corruption charges under Australian Harness Racing Rule 241 which reads:
“A person shall not in connection with any part of the harness racing industry do anything which is fraudulent or corrupt.”
Charge 1
·         That he did corruptly give a former HRNSW Steward a monetary reward to ensure that harness racing horse LOMBO BACCARAT was not drug tested at the race meeting held at Bankstown on 1 July 2011.
Charge 2
·         That he did corruptly give a former HRNSW Steward a monetary reward to ensure that harness racing horse LOMBO BACCARAT was not drug tested at the race meeting held at Penrith 7 July 2011.

“A person shall not in connection with any part of the harness racing industry do anything which is fraudulent or corrupt.”
Charge 1
·         That he did corruptly give a former HRNSW Steward a monetary reward to ensure that harness racing horse RELUCTANT DANCER was not drug tested at the race meeting held at Penrith on 12 May 2011.
Charge 2
·         That he did corruptly give a former HRNSW Steward a monetary reward to ensure that harness racing horse RELUCTANT DANCER was not drug tested at the race meeting held at Menangle on 17 May 2011.
Charge 3
·         That he did corruptly offer a former HRNSW Steward a monetary reward to ensure that harness racing horse THE OPEN was not drug tested at the race meeting held at Penrith on 12 May 2011.
These charges will be heard by the Special Stewards Panel, appointed by HRNSW to deal with all matters pertaining to the ongoing investigation.
This Panel is comprised of the Honourable Justice Wayne Haylen, Mr Ray Murrihy and Mr Des Gleeson.
No date has been set for the hearing.
