Queensland glamour girl Torque In Motion has been sensationally overlooked from the Gr.1 $100,000 Cordina Ladyship Mile on March 5 at TABCORPPark, Menangle.

The brilliant 4yo mare, yet to miss a place in fifteen (15) career starts, will now be set for the QBRED features in the coming weeks for her trainer Vicki Rasmussen.

Torque In Motion has looked razor sharp so far this campaign winning all three starts at AlbionPark including a 1.56.9 mile two starts ago.

Queensland pacers have dominated in Sydney in recent weeks headlined by Darrel Graham and Dean Shannon who combined to win the Sapling Stakes with former New Zealand pacer Montana Falcon.

“It’s very disappointing but we can’t change anything now.” regular driver Shane Graham stated.

Torque In Motion was a runner-up last season in five feature races including the Gr.1 Australian and Queensland Oaks behind freakish fillies De Lovely and Millwood Meg respectively.

Both of those fillies were crowned with national honours at the end of their sophomore seasons.

The $30,000 QBRED Breeders Classic series begins on March 11 with the final the following week whilst the $75,000 QBRED Triad Final will be staged on May 7 at AlbionPark.

“The QBRED features will obviously be our immediate focus now before we look at the Brisbane Winter Carnival later this season,”

“We were even considering the Chariots Of Fire but that clashes with the Triad so it makes it very tricky.”

The QBRED features will see the return clash of arch-rivals Torque In Motion and Abbey Tiara, prepared by Bill Dixon.

Abbey Tiara defeated Torque In Motion in the QBRED features and Redcliffe Oaks but the latter had the wood on the former in the Queensland and Gold Coast Oaks last season.

Both of these brilliant mares will race this Friday night at the Gold Coast.

Torque In Motion is raced by her breeder Ian Corazzol who also races many of his stock with leading Victorian trainer Peter Manning.
