Commencing immediately, all change of tactics applications approved by the Stewards will be available for punters on-line at the Harness Racing NSW website; www.hrnsw.com.au

Trainers must apply to Stewards at least 45 minutes before the race if they wish to change driving tactics.

If approved, those tactic changes will be posted to the website shortly afterwards and found in the integrity section.

HRNSW CEO Sam Nati said: “Not everybody is in favour of making COTs public, but if it is going to be the practise then they should be readily available.”

“The race callers and media broadcasters will still be given the information to pass on, but this provides a broader approach”, he added.

The on-line availability of tactic changes is just one of a number of enhancements being made to the recently launched HRNSW website.

Another is Open Inquiries which provides a list of inquiries that are still to be finalised by Stewards and the date of the hearing.

Further announcements will be made in the upcoming weeks.

Harness Racing NSW (HRNSW) is the controlling body for harness racing in New South Wales with responsibility for commercial and regulatory management of the industry including 31 racing clubs across the State.
