For what is typically a boutique sale of 40-50 horses, the APG Brisbane Sale consistently produces some outstanding graduates.  Albion Park’s $100,000 Group One Brisbane Sales Race is exclusively restricted to just 36 pacing yearlings that we have catalogued for this year’s sale.

Last season, Expensive Ego exploded onto the scene, winning the Group One QBRED Triad Final in 1:52.9 at only his third start. He followed it up with a win in the $100,000 Albion Park Brisbane Sales Race, before returning home to NSW to capture the Group Two APG Championship Race, finishing the season a perfect six from six.

The previous season it was Muscle Factory grabbing national attention, winning the $100,000 Albion Park Brisbane Sales Race in 1:53.1, before returning as a 3yo to win the Group Two Simpson Memorial in 1:49.6, then following that up with a strong victory in the prestigious Group One Victoria Derby.

The year before that, it was Arts Treasure and Pinup Boy that combined for a pair of Group One 2yo wins, whilst the year before that saw Park Life capture the National APG 2yo Crown, whilst other Brisbane Sale graduates from the same year included Clintal Do, Jossie James, Rock With Sam, Bonnie Jujon and Our Major Day – all of whom have earned well north of $100,000 each.

The bottom line is that APG’s Brisbane Sale continually produces some exceptional individuals and we are confident that the same will ring true in 2020.
