LADBROKES Australian Pacing Gold purchase Heaven Rocks has been sold to American interests.

Having received an offer for the multiple Group One winner, his Australasian connections decided to sell the son of Rock N Roll Heaven.

Expected to head across the equator this weekend, Heaven Rocks leaves the southern hemisphere with 12 wins and six placings from 27 starts for co-trainers Mark Purdon and Natalie Rasmussen.

Heaven Rocks’ victories include last month’s Ballarat Cup, the Three and Four-Year-Old Jewels and Easter Cup – all Group Ones.

An enigmatic performer, Heaven Rocks has shown glimpses of brilliance mixed with erratic tendencies.

At his best the five-year-old is regarded as equal to his superstar stablemate, Lazarus, which is the favourite for Saturday night’s Miracle Mile at Menangle.

The gelding will be trained in the US by Ross Croghan, who also prepares Ladbrokes APG graduate, Waikiki Beach, which is unbeaten from two starts in the States.
