At yesterday’s barrier draw function for the 2017 TABtouch Inter Dominion Final it was announced that the field will be lead onto the track by three-time Inter Dominion winner Im Themightyquinn.

Trainer Gary Hall has been jogging his champion for the past couple of weeks to ready him for a return to the track where he sealed his legend status with a remarkable win in the 2012 Inter Dominion.

A winner of 14 Group One races and $4,567,456 Im The Mightyquinn was inducted into The West Australian Racing Industry Hall of Fame earlier this year.

He won 58 of his 111 career starts in Australia and New Zealand and in addition to his three Inter Dominion wins in 2011, 2012 and 2013 he won three WA Pacing Cups, three Fremantle Pacing Cups and two Auckland Cups.

Coincidentally Lazarus will be aiming for his 14th Group One win just a week after he took away Im Themightyquinn’s track record for 2536 metres with his brilliant win in the final heat of the Inter Dominion.
