The Albion Park Harness Racing Club will play host to another strong eight race program this Saturday night.

It’s short and sharp racing, all races will be staged over the sprint distance of 1660m.

Gambling giant UBET are offering several jackpots throughout the program including a guaranteed $50,000 First 4 pool on the opening race plus a $10,000 jackpot.

The opening race has attracted an even field of 12 pacers with several in-form runners set to contest the ‘Remembering Keen Edge’ Pace over the short course trip.

Despite second-line draws, both Glenferrie Hood and Majestic Major face significant class-drops and will command plenty of respect for their respective connections.

Last week, both pacers filled minor placings behind the in-form Watch Pulp Fiction, a winner of his past four starts at headquarters.

Collectively, the two quality performers have won 28 races at the track and both a proven feature race winners.

Others to consider include Clarkey, Tallyho Bromac, Our Hi Jinx, Ideal Scott, Flaming Hero, Mister Mundaka and Written In Red.

Keen Edge, a richly talented son of Able Bye Bye won 27 races from 91 starts while amassing more than $135,000 during the late 1980’s.

Prepared largely throughout his career by Ray Cross, some of his biggest triumphs came via the 1988 3yo Challenge Final and the 4yo Invitation Pace.

He staged some epic battles with the likes of Speed King and Butch’s Mate among others.

The $15,540 Kevin & Kay Seymour Rising Stars Championship also looks an extremely open affair following the barrier draw.

Heat winners on Tuesday were Earl Jujon and Bodhi Tree while others to be considered include Bobbies Girl, He Gets It, Broadwater, One Last Roll, Blingittothemax, Im Norma Jean and Jacks At The Beach.

The Rising Stars Finals is listed as race 2 on the card – the opening leg of the UBET Quadrella.

A Quaddie jackpot of $10,000 is also slated; the quaddie will be staged on races 2, 3, 4 & 5.

And a treble jackpot of $6294 is programmed; the treble will be staged on races 3, 4 & 5.

UBET have also slated $2000 jackpot First 4 pools on races 3 through to 8.
