TOMORROW night’s Group Ones at Gloucester Park are likely to have a major impact on Sunday’s results.

Confused?

Western Australia’s home of harness racing is set to host a pair of Australian Pacing Gold Finals with five runners having siblings in the weekend’s APG Yearling Sale.

While the ‘fab five’ on offer are already destined to attract spirited bidding, victory by one of their older siblings will no doubt increase the completion to secure the latest relative to ‘go under the hammer’.

Making a successful debut a fortnight ago, Between Two Thorns has drawn to repeat the dose in the fillies’ Final for trainer Aiden De Campo.

Between Two Thorns is by Downbytheseaside from Kiwi Rose, with her youngster sister set to enter the ring as Lot 339.

In the colts’ and geldings’ division, Valedictorian, Juggernaut, Star Lavra and Heez Good As Gold are the quartet with a relative up for sale.

Also boasting wins upon debut, Valedictorian and Juggernaut are vying for favouritism after drawing to search for the lead from barriers one and three.

A son of Art Major, Valedictorian is from Courage On Fire, which has a handsome colt by Sweet Lou listed as Lot 314.

Juggernaut’s dam – Luck Has It – will be represented by a daughter to Control The Moment, which is Lot 373.

Runner-up at his only start, Star Lavra has fared poorly in barrier eight for champion horseman, Gary Hall.

By Captaintreacherous, Star Lavra is from Lavra Florence, which is the dam of Lot 423 – a colt by Foreclosure.

Last, but certainly not least, is Heez Good As Gold, which will need to live up to his name after drawing poorly along the second row.

A member of the Mike Reed stable, the colt’s half-brother – by Always B Miki from Front Paige Adda – is Lot 343.
