Racing Queensland - Dress Standards Constellations Carnival

With night 1 of the Albion Park Constellations Carnival this week it is a timely opportunity to remind participants of the required dress standard at Saturday night meetings. 

RQ in conjunction with the Albion Park Harness Racing Club and QRIC are looking for participant support to assist raising the profile and image of the sport in Queensland. 

Across the three nights of the carnival, on-course attendances will significantly increase while live showcase coverage will feature via numerous SKY Racing platforms. 

The dress code, supported by QRIC and BOTRA, for the Carnival is as follows:

MALE ATTIRE

  • A collared dress shirt (short or long sleeve), long trousers, dress jeans (no holes).
  • Trainers and stablehands must wear enclosed shoes (not joggers) in acceptable condition.
  • Throughout the meeting Drivers shall wear boots which may be black or dark tan and which entirely cover feet and ankles and afford reasonable protection in accordance with AHR Rule 159A (4).

Drivers are asked to comply with this dress code on their arrival and departure from the meeting.

FEMALE ATTIRE

  • Modest blouse, dresses or skirts.
  • Trousers, dress jeans (no holes).
  • Trainers and stablehands must wear enclosed shoes (not joggers) in an acceptable condition.
  • Throughout the meeting Drivers shall wear boots which may be black or dark tan and which entirely cover feet and ankles and afford reasonable protection in accordance with AHR Rule 159A (4).

Drivers are asked to comply with this dress code on their arrival and departure from the meeting.

The following attire is deemed UNACCEPTABLE:

  • Singlets and T-shirts.
  • Shorts
  • Tracksuit pants or overalls.
  • Ragged, unclean or torn clothing.
  • Clothing with offensive slogans.
  • Thongs, sandals, ugg boots or footwear of an unacceptable standard.

Trainers, stablehands and drivers (other than when in their racing attire) are required to comply with this code.
