Harness Racing NSW is seeking a part time Track Curator and Grounds Maintenance person (20 hours per week)
The successful applicant needs to be able to work in a small team and some weekend work will be required.
Duties will include watering and conditioning/dragging the main and jogging tracks, ensuring that the inside and outside of the main track are clear of weeds and kept in a tidy state, cleaning of the race day stables and ensuring that the race day stable area and parade ring are mowed and kept in good condition. Other duties as required.
Essential qualifications:
1. Current driving licence
2. Experience working with heavy equipment and possess and maintain necessary licences
3. Understanding of harness track maintenance;
4. Understanding of basic machinery maintenance
5. Understanding of horses
6. Good oral and written communication skills
