VIC - Supreme Court Appeal Update - Ellen Tormey and Glenn Douglas

As of 4pm on 30 September 2020, the disqualifications imposed by the Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) Racing Appeals and Disciplinary (RAD) Board in December 2019 against licensed trainer-drivers Ellen Tormey and Glenn Douglas (the full details of which can be viewed here and here) became active, subsequent to the final orders of the Supreme Court of Victoria which dismissed their appeal and expired the stay of proceedings (details of the Supreme Court decision can be viewed here).

Ms Tormey and Mr Douglas have reserved their right to a further application to the Court of Appeal.

However, unless there is a further determination by the Court of Appeal, Ms Tormey and Mr Douglas are currently disqualified persons under the Australian Harness Racing Rules.
