Inter Dominion Event Committee Media Statement

The Inter Dominion Event Committee (IDEC) met earlier today to consider an application from the Inter Dominion Host Partners to postpone the 2020 Inter Dominion Championships.

The Event Committee accepted the application in the absence of any practical alternatives to conduct a Championship in 2020.  In effect, the current rotation will move back one year, with Harness Racing New South Wales and Club Menangle co-hosting the event in 2021.

Notes:

Host Partners

Consists of Harness Racing New South Wales, Club Menangle, Harness Racing Victoria and Harness Racing New Zealand and hold the rights to conduct the event on rotation until 2027.

The Inter Dominion Event Committee (IDEC)

Consists of two representatives from each of Harness Racing Australia and Harness Racing New Zealand who oversee the event on behalf of the industry.
