Tasmanian yearling sale on Saturday

The 2020 Tasmanian Harness Sale, to be conducted by Tasracing, will be held at Carrick Park on Saturday.

The sale comprises 17 lots by 12 different sires including leading stallions Rock N Roll Heaven, Sweet Lou, Modern Art, Metropolitan and Well Said and emerging sires Sunshine Beach, Hurrikane Kingcole, Major Bronski and Caribbean Blaster.

The sale features youngsters from the first crop of the highly credentialled sires Racing Hill, Betting Line and Guaranteed.

There’s full or half-sisters to the Group winner Modern Ruler, the Mother Of Pearl and Matron winner Angel Or Demon and the promising Van Der Poel and close relatives to a string of top performers such as Lombo Pocket Watch, Devendra, Pachacuti, Foxfighter, Punt Road Disco, Celtic Ross, Strezlecki Lady, Purple Haze and Kohanah.

Yearlings are eligible for Tasbred, Vicbred and NSW Breeders Challenge. Horses sold at the sale will be eligible to compete for a $5,000 bonus on three selected two-year-old races in the 2020/21 season.
