From the start of the new season (1 September) RQ have commenced using the UBET fixed odds price for the purpose of reporting a horses closing price as opposed to the UBET tote price.

RQ has made change to more accurately reflect the ‘markets’ closing price for each horse in a race.

The discrepancy that can occur between fixed odds and tote prices was seen on last Saturday when the favourite for Race 7 at Albion Park (Luvumum) closed $1.30 for the win on the UBET Tote, while its fixed-odds closing price was $1.85.

This information is displayed in results and in form guides for subsequent starts and is often an important factor punters consider when making their wagering investments.

This change comes on the back of a recent enhancement to video replays for harness races which now includes the head-on vision in the home straight to help assist punters determine if horses were held up or subject to interference.

This vision can be seen at the end of the full race replays.
