OUTSTANDING pacer Lennytheshark has joined a select fraternity while also claiming a slice of history.

Thanks to his gutsy second in Saturday night’s Shepparton Cup when first-up from a spell, Lennytheshark has taken his earnings past $3million.

As such, the son of Four Starzzz Shark has become the sixth Australasian standardbred in the group, which is headed by quadruple Inter Dominion winner, Blacks A Fake.

Blacks A Fake was also the first to pass $4million, having been retired with a handy sum of $4,575,438.

Im Themightyquinn is second on the all-time rich list with $4,567,456, followed by Lazarus with $3,663,438, Smoken Up on $3,607,985 and Monkey King, which bankrolled $3,332,513.

With his earnings sitting on $3,002,585, Lennytheshark became the first Australian stallion on the list.

Freakish New Zealand pacer Lazarus is the only other stallion among the ‘super six’ with his stakes coming from just 43 starts!

Thrilled to have his stable star reach such a milestone, trainer David Aiken has already set his sights on more riches with the eight-year-old.

“I couldn’t be happier for Lenny to be a part of such an elite group of champions,” Aiken said. “He’s been racing against the best all his career and has done a wonderful job.

“As he showed on the weekend after having such a tough run in his first start for eight weeks, he’s not finished yet.

“I’ll keep him ticking along now as we look towards the Len Smith Mile and The Blacks A Fake in July.

“The Blacks A Fake is the last Grand Circuit race of the season and he won the Victoria Cup, which was first of the season, so hopefully he can end it the way he started it.”
