A couple of new names have appeared in the Queensland form guides.

Young drivers Jonah Hutchinson and Vin Langdon have taken a number of drives in recent weeks at Albion Park for leading stables and with success.

And both have displayed natural ability.

Hutchinson, a graduate of the mini-trotting ranks landed his maiden victory aboard the Grant Dixon trained Jessica Amber at Albion Park on January 30.

Starting at massive odds, Hutchinson drove a patient race before coming with a well-timed finish to defeat Machin Out and Maywyns Best in a time of 1:56.4.

It could easily be the first of many more to come.

The keen horseman is also an accomplished Bull Rider.

Vin Langdon, the son of internationally experienced horseman Michael and grandson of Inter Dominion winning horseman John, has linked with the stables of Chambers Flat trainer Ian Gurney.

Boasting over 50 victories from 505 drives to date, Langdon is hoping to gain more opportunities in the Sunshine State.

In recent weeks, Langdon has partnered several talented types for Gurney including Smooth Showgirl, That’s How Weroll and Sparkling Cullect.

Evergreen pacer Our White Knight has proven to be a good performer for Langdon with the pair combining for a number of victories at TABCORP Park, Menangle.

While yet to strike, it appears it will be only a matter of time before Langdon lands his first Queensland victory.

  • Michael Langdon took the winning drive behind Georgetown in the 2011 Winter Cup at Albion Park, the final race start of champion pacer Blacks A Fake who finished second.

  • John Langdon won both the 1975 Inter Dominion Pacing and Trotting Grand Finals with Young Quinn and Castleton’s Pride.

  • John is a member of the Inter Dominion Hall of Fame

  • John also won the New Zealand and Auckland Cups with Neroship
