If you’re in Brisbane this weekend, the Albion Park Harness Racing Club will play host to a strong nine race program this Saturday night.

And the opening race has attracted an even field of 11 pacers with several in-form runners set to contest the UBET Pace over the distance of 2138m.

Gambling giant UBET is offering several jackpots throughout the program including a guaranteed $50,000 Trifecta pool on the opening race plus a $10,000 jackpot.

The Grant and Trista Dixon prepared Pompidou backs up after his excellent effort last week when he was run down late by the Newcastle trained Rave Moonraker.

Pompidou fought strongly when second in a mile rate of 1:52.6.

Others to be considered include The Duke Downunder, Nolonga Your Choice, Ruato Bay, Oliver Winkle and Casino Tommy.

Another highlight is race 8 on the program, the ‘Remembering Town Royal’ Open Pace over the distance of 2138m.

Former New Zealand pacer Watch Pulp Fiction is aiming for his 4th consecutive victory but tackles open class company which includes in-form pacer Majestic Major.

Town Royal, a classy mare who won 31 races for Errol Cain and competed during the 1987 Inter Dominion series at Addington.

The $15,540 Kevin & Kay Seymour Rising Stars Championship also looks an extremely open affair following the barrier draw.

Heat winners on Tuesday were Polished Rocks and Feel The Courage while others to be considered include Lenny The Legend, Wynberg Terror, Lancelot Bromac, Withalotofluck, The Pacman, Murano and Village Witch among others.

The Rising Stars Finals is listed as race 2 on the card – the opening leg of the UBET Quadrella.

A Quadrella jackpot of $10,000 is also slated; the quaddie will be staged on races 2, 3, 4 & 5.

UBET have also slated $1000 jackpot trifecta pools on races 3 through to 9.
