About Us
Harness Racing Victoria (HRV), a statutory body, is responsible for the control, development and promotion of the Victorian harness racing industry. With strong links to rural and regional communities, we are committed to developing a vibrant and sustainable harness racing industry which promotes participation, integrity and racing excellence. With over 400 race meetings per year at 28 tracks throughout Victoria, harness racing contributes $422m p.a. to the Victorian economy and employs approximately 4000 people.
The Opportunity
As the Manager, Risk & Compliance you will be responsible for providing operational and advisory support in the implementation, management & evaluation of risk management and compliance.
In undertaking this responsibility you will;

Implement a risk management strategy; build compliance framework & conduct audits

Roll out risk management strategy & support management to understand their compliance requirements

Monitor industry and regulatory updates & make recommendations to management

Embed a culture of risk management within HRV by the way of education & training

Assist to ensure that all requirements of OH&S, EEO, Privacy, Freedom of Information & public sector requirements are observed
About You
To be considered for this role, you will possess the following skills, experience and attributes:

Extensive, demonstrated experience in risk management & compliance

Relevant tertiary qualifications
-
A resilient and innovative manager with a genuine desire to make a contribution and foster a culture of quality improvement

Have an in-depth knowledge of current risk management strategies
-
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust
-
Maintain and build collaborative relationships with stakeholders
Benefits
This is a full-time position based at HRV’s Flemington office although some travel to regional Victoria may be required. Given the nature of the racing industry, the successful applicant may be required to work flexible hours, including weeknights and weekends.
