GROUP 1 winning trotter My High Expectations has landed in New South Wales and is ready to start his career at stud.

The North American bred son of Ken Warkentin has been in Victoria since retiring from racing in January 2016 and will make his way to Medowie Lodge where he will stand for a service fee of just $1400.

Being based in NSW, My High Expectations’ progeny can be eligible for the Trot NSW Series, NSW Breeders Challenge Owners Bonus Certificates, the Foal Nominators Bonus, the True Blue Bonus as well as the Trot NSW Breeders Incentive Scheme.

This is another plus for the trotting industry in the state according to the Vice President of the Trotters Association of NSW Troy Williams.

“It’s a huge boost for the breeding industry and particularly for the trotters to have a stallion actually standing in NSW,” Williams said.

“He is a very well credentialed trotter that can help grow the trotting ranks in the state.

“He is standing at a very affordable price which will hopefully also encourage the hobby breeders to put their mares in foal this season.”

My High Expectations was trained by David Aiken towards the end of his career and retired from racing with a record of 34 wins and 28 placings in 107 starts for earnings of $482,505.

He clocked a personal best 1:57.9 when winning the Group 3 R.C. Freestone Trotters Cup at Melton over the 2240m.

His Group 1 appearances comprised of success in the 2014 Group 1 Australasian Trotting Championship as well as seven placings.

My High Expectations’ victories also include three Group 2 features and seven Group 3 races.
