Got what it takes to be Australia’s greatest trots tipster?
Find out in the Great Trots Tipoff, which kicks off next Saturday on Good Form Victoria Cup Night.
Entry is free to the Great Trots Tipoff, run by the Victorian Harness Racing Media Association and sponsored by TAB.com.au, which sees tipsters facing off for a share of a $12,000 prize pool.
Weekly winners throughout the competition – which runs between January 30 and October 31 – receive $100 into their TAB.com.au account* with registered VHRMA members playing for an extra $50 weekly prize.
Each tipster will enter one selection per race for all nominated race meetings (as set out in terms and conditions). Results will be based on $50 win outlays with one Big Bet per meeting of $100 (refer to terms and conditions for full details).
Each monthly winner throughout the competition will get their hands on a much coveted “Golden Ticket”.
Golden Ticket holders will face off in the live Great Trots Tipoff Grand Final event at Tabcorp Park Melton on Legends Night (date to be confirmed) where the overall champion will receive the Great Trots Tipoff title belt and a $5000 grand prize.
Each monthly winner will also receive a one-month subscription to the highly acclaimed poggaharness.com tipping service, which has also thrown its support behind the Great Trots Tipoff.
At the completion of the regular tipping rounds (before the grand final) the Overall Winner will be awarded $1000, that being the tipster who leads the overall ladder.
VHRMA President Gordon Lockman said the Great Trots Tipoff was an exciting new venture, which would help promote wagering on the Victorian trots.
“If we can get more people doing the form and taking an interest in the sport, it’ll be good for the industry,” Mr Lockman said.
“The wonderful support from TAB.com.au for this competition allows for a magnificent prize pool and given it is free to enter it would appear to me to be a must to be involved.”
The Great Trots Tipoff is open to all Australian residents, excluding VHRMA executive members.
