This week, Tasmanian harness racing tries a different approach. The regular primary and secondary meetings are being split across weekend meetings, along with a blend of restricted win and national rating races.

Last week, two meetings were held in Hobart and Launceston, where there were many highlights.

The Stars

Hazewillrev – a talented three-year-old, returns to the winners list with a dominant 22.7m win in Launceston on Sunday night to take his record to five wins from six starts; the Craig Hayes-trained pacer was driven by Gareth Rattray.

All By Myself – recorded her first win for the season when sprinting home best right through along the inside to win the fast-class race of the night in Launceston.

Ducane – a Tasmanian Premier Harness Racing Yearling Sale purchase, recorded his maiden win as a five-year-old and ended a run of outs for trainer Michael Dornauf and his brother and driver Peter Dornauf.

Cuzzy Bro – another progressive three-year-old who made it two wins from two starts this season when winning in Hobart on Friday night.
